Continued . . . Deer hunts are scheduled only on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Access is through the Jericho Ditch, Portsmouth Ditch, Railroad Ditch, and Corapeake Ditch entrances. A drawing will select 100 permittees for the black bear hunt. Designated bear hunt areas will be within the Jericho Ditch and Railroad Ditch entrances. A valid Virginia and/or North Carolina hunting license is required along with the refuge-issued permits. Please contact the refuge for more information. Hunt areas will be closed to all other public use activities on hunt and scouting days. |
