Event Site: Aransas National Wildlife Refuge
Event Description: Interpretive Van Tours offered at 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Tours are led by trained volunteers. Visitors will learn about the Refuge System & natural history of Aransas. There's a good chance of seeing alligator, white-tailed deer, armadillo,wading birds, and possibly whooping cranes. Reservations are required as seating is limited. The Aransas Lecture Series will offer a program about Whooping Cranes by Texas Master Naturalist from 12:00-12:50 p.m. in the Visitor Center. Join us for cake and punch in celebration of the Aransas NWR Birthday.
