  • Whidbey Island Salmon in the Classroom Project The Chums of Maxwelton Salmon Adventure is a community group working to restore, preserve, and protect watersheds and water quality on Whidbey Island in Washington State.


  • Atlantic Salmon Federation The Atlantic Salmon Federation is an international non-profit organization which promotes the conservation and wise management of the wild Atlantic salmon and its environment.


  • Salmon in the Classroom (Washington Dept. of Fish and Wildlife) Currently, about 600 schools statewide participate in the Salmon in the Classroom Project. Students receive 500 eggs from a designated hatchery and care for "their" salmon while learning about life histories and habitat requirements. Students release the salmon as fry after studying the streams and creeks into which the fish will be released.
