Bill Edwards returned to the Quinault NFH after a fifteen year hiatus working at the Winthrop and Entiat National Fish Hatcheries. He left Quinault as a Fish Culturist and returned as the Hatchery Manager! Several staff members that indoctrinated Bill to the Service and hatchery operations are still at Quinault. This has made for a very interesting transition for both the staff and Bill.
Joined the U.S. Navy in 1975 and worked as an Ocean Systems Analyst in Key West, Fl., Midway atoll in the Pacific and Pacific Beach, WA. Upon leaving the Navy, Bill graduated from the University of Washington’s School of Fisheries in 1985. He has also worked for the U.S. Geological Survey on Guam monitoring surface and ground waters. Bill did a stint with the National Marine Fisheries as a fishery observer in Bristol Bay, Alaska onboard a Russian fish processing ship.
Bill has been with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for over 23 years.
