Driving Directions

Driving Directions from the South (1 ½ hour drive from Olympia): Take Interstate 5 to Olympia, Washington and take exit 104 (Ocean beaches) Follow Highway 101 to Shelton, then north through Hoodsport and Brinnon. Outside Brinnon, Highway 101 rises over the shoulder of Mt. Walker before descending toward Quilcene. As you descend, watch for a brown sign for Quilcene National Fish Hatchery. Carefully turn left off the highway (there is no turn lane) onto Fish Hatchery Road. The hatchery is located to the left about a quarter of a mile from the highway.

Driving Directions from the North (One hour drive from Port Angeles): From Port Angeles, take Highway 101 south. Go two miles past the town of Quilcene and watch for a brown sign for Quilcene National Fish Hatchery. Take a right onto Fish Hatchery Road. The hatchery is located to the left about a quarter of a mile from the highway.

Quilcene NFH is also accessible from the Seattle area through several ferry routes. Refer to the Washington Department of Transportation for details
