Birdfest & Bluegrass Launches National Wildlife Refuge Week, October 11-17, 2009


Every year at the beginning of National Wildlife Refuge Week, the Friends of Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge sponsor Birdfest & Bluegrass, a weekend event that brings hundreds of visitors to Ridgefield, Washington, to enjoy the Refuge, the Cathlapotle Plankhouse and fantastic bluegrass music on every corner in town. Scheduled for Oct. 10 and 11, the Ridgefield festival is one of many events planned at refuges around the nation during October.Click here to see the full list of events.
