Weed Aware Workshop

Be a Weed WarriorNon-native invasive plants, otherwise known as weeds, present one of the most daunting challenges to natural resource protection. The workshop will serve as a training session for new or past volunteers interested in being a "Refuge Weed Warrior" during the spring and summer; it will focus on the pressing issue of prevention control, and eradication of non-native invasive plants.

Due to limited staff, the Refuge will be unable to hold a weed-aware workshop in 2006.

For more information on how the Refuge combats non-native invasive plants, see Invasive Species Management.
