Sturgeon Research / Activities
Oversees
the Essex Region Conservation Authority's habitat restoration
program. Although the program focuses primarily on upland
and riparian habitat restoration, several fish habitat restoration
projects have been completed in recent years. Lake sturgeon
spawning habitat restoration projects have been completed
with other partners offshore at McKee Park in the City of
Windsor and Fort Malden National Historic Site in Amherstburg.
Addditional projects are in the planning stages.
