Weekly Bird Counts

The counts provided here are compiled by the refuge biologist based on a weekly survey of the refuge. The focus of the survey is on waterfowl, waterbirds and raptors. Songbirds are not included in this count.

Spring Bird Count is conducted annually during the first weekend in May and is timed to catch the many migrant birds coming to, or through, the refuge.
