The Fish and Wildlife Interagency Committee was formed to expedite the Corps of Engineers' Upper Mississippi River dredging and channel modification projects as well as the Corps' habitat restoration projects conducted under the Upper Mississippi River Environmental Management Plan. The Committee is a group of staff-level biologists that provides oversight, coordination, and recommendations. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Rock Island Field Office provides the team leader for the Committee.
