Mingo National Wildlife Refuge has a designated hunting area which consists of 8,960 acres and an additional 6,891 acres during the Managed Muzzleload Deer Hunt. Hunting opportunities include archery deer and turkey, spring firearms turkey, and squirrel hunting. Waterfowl hunting is permitted in Pool 8, a 1,191 - acre green tree reservoir. The unit is managed through a cooperative agreement with the Missouri Department of Conservation as a wade-in hunting area. The Refuge also provides an area for disabled hunters within the regular hunt areas. This area provides a paved trail for wheel chair accessibility and 4 stationary blinds.

Hunting is permitted on the Refuge in accordance with all applicable Federal and State regulations, and Refuge specific regulations. Contact the Refuge Visitor Center at (573) 222-3589 for any questions regarding hunting regulations.
