The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service received an incidental take permit application, draft habitat conservation plan (HCP), and draft Implementing Agreement from Pioneer Trail Wind Farm, LLC (applicant), located in Ford and Iroquois Counties, Illinois. If approved, the Permit would authorize incidental take of two species of bats: the Indiana bat, a federally endangered species, and northern long-eared bat, proposed for Federal listing under the Endangered Species Act. In accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act, the Service prepared a draft Environmental Assessment in response to the permit application. We invite public comment on the Incidental Take Permit, draft HCP, draft Implementaing Agreement and draft Environmental Assessment.

The public comment period is open from August 6 to September 22, 2014.
