U.S. FISH AND WILDLIFE SERVICE "CONNECTING PEOPLE WITH NATURE"

A new look for "Let's Go Outside!"
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has updated its "Let's Go Outside" national website.

The new website is loaded with information about nature and outdoor activities for young kids, families, teachers and older youth. Find information about the Department of the Interior’s "Youth in the Great Outdoors" initiative and learn about conservation careers and volunteer opportunities. Play the online "Neighborhood Explorers" game, which encourages kids ages 8 to 11 to explore a virtual clubhouse that helps kids get outside and learn more about critters and habitats, too!

Schoolyard Habitat Project Guide

The Service's Schoolyard Habitat Project Guide is a roadmap for transforming school grounds into a destination that will engage the entire school community in habitat restoration, and it is now available online. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Schoolyard Habitat Program promotes naturalized habitat areas created by students, for students. It is ecologically sound, integrated into the curriculum and designed to encourage long-term natural resource conservation and stewardship.
