Anyone can help birds…no matter what your age. Many birds found in the United States move or migrate each Spring and Fall to new homes. There are a lot of good reasons for moving. These include finding a warmer place to live or flying to a place where they can find a mate. It can't be easy moving though. The four parts of a habitat are food, water, shelter and space. If a bird cannot find all these parts, they can no longer live in their own home. Today, many changes around the world cause habitats to be destroyed or changed forever.

Backyard birding is a fun activity. Why not make a list of birds found in your backyard throughout the year.
