| Anyone can help birds…no matter what your age. Many birds found in the United States move or migrate each Spring and Fall to new homes. There are a lot of good reasons for moving. These include finding a warmer place to live or flying to a place where they can find a mate. It can't be easy moving though. The four parts of a habitat are food, water, shelter and space. If a bird cannot find all these parts, they can no longer live in their own home. Today, many changes around the world cause habitats to be destroyed or changed forever. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Division of Migratory Bird Management has great pamphlets to help you do things like making a bird house or creating backyard habitats. Check out the FWS Kids page Backyard birding is a fun activity. Why not make a list of birds found in your backyard throughout the year.
