FWS GIS SYSTEM
The USFWS is currently field testing a GIS-based system for its archaeological
site data. Once implemented FWS Regional Historic Preservation
Officers, working in conjunction with Regional GIS coordinators
will be able to provide reports with relevant geo-spatial data
to an array of FWS managers and programs in order to provide better
assistance and better management opportunities for the resource.
