Wetland Creations on Sequoyah NWR
10 Region, September 28, 2000
Print Friendly Version
The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation (ODWC) created twenty five acres of wetlands on two units at Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge using a molsom terracer pulled by a tractor. This wetland creation work was part of an agreement with the ODWC when the Horton Slough Dam was constructed. Refuge personnel added two culverts with flash board risers on the wetlands and completed the fine dirt work with a bulldozer.
