YCC crew improves refuge facilities

Four local Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) and one crew leader(local educator)provided invaluable assistance in remodeling and maintaining public use facilities at Sequoyah NWR during the summer of 2000. The crew was responsible for the rehabilitation of parking areas, creating a new concrete fishing pier/boat dock, construction of benches at a popular refuge fishing area, rebuilding and installing new refuge signs, and maintenance of all public use facilities including litter removal.
