On the evening of June 7th, 2014, one hundred volunteers were recognized for their hard work and hours of volunteer service at the Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge annual volunteer dinner. This year we celebrated over 14,000 hours of volunteer service donated to the refuge. In times when budgets are tight,  the refuge relies even more on the these dedicated volunteers that give so much to the refuge. The volunteers at Great Swamp NWR are individuals who unselfishly give back to their communities and are passionate about the refuge. During the dinner program volunteers and staff were honored with a visit from Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen who attended the event and personally thanked all the volunters for their efforts.
Volunteers at Great Swamp NWR  have made the refuge a vibrant source of pride.
