Partners for Fish and Wildlife Participates in 24th Annual Arbor Day/Earth Day Program at Vienna-Finley Elementary School in Scott County Indiana

On April 22, 2014 Partners for Fish and Wildlife Biologist Susan Knowles supplied trees to Vienna Finley elementary school in Scott County for their annual Arbor Day/Earth Day program held that week and coordinated with the Principal the programs that were be presented.

The teachers incorporate conservation education in special programs and conclude with all 350 students and staff receiving a seedling to take home to plant. This is the 24th year this annual program in celebration of Arbor Day/Earth Day has been conducted by the teachers. The principal reported “Earth Day was a huge success for us. Thank you very much for the trees. The students were pumped. We had a few extras that staff members took home and planted as well!”
