Havasu NWR Friends and Family Fun Day

Havasu National Wildlife Refuge (NWR), in partnership with the Arizona Department of Game and Fish and Friends of the Havasu and Bill Williams River NWRs, hosted its first annual Family Fun Day on Saturday October 26, 2013. Between 70-100 visitors attended the event held at the Catfish Paradise day use area on Topock Marsh. Visitors had an opportunity to participate in a variety of outdoor activities including:
• Archery instruction
• Kids archery range (ages 3-6)
• Youth Fishing Clinic conducted by Arizona Department of Game and Fish.
• Naturalist programs
• Birding activities
