New “Puddles” Mascot to Raise Awareness of National Wildlife Refuge System

Funds received from a small grant enabled Ohio River Islands National Wildlife Refuge to update the National Wildlife Refuge System’s mascot, “Puddles” the blue goose. This family-friendly version of Puddles will provide enjoyment and photo memories for refuge supporters for years to come. Puddles is expected to make appearances at special events, festivals and refuge programs.
