The Little River National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) contracted T. McDonald Construction Company from Eufaula, Oklahoma to drill a well and install a water delivery system that will provide a dependable water source to the Duck Roost Impoundment. The $64,587.57 project involved drilling an 80 foot well and installing a pump system completely ran by solar power. The project will provide a dependable water source to promote and enhance wetland management capabilities on the Refuge.
