Working with Michigan Natural Features Inventory on Oil Spill Preparedness

On January 10, 2013, Lisa Williams of the East Lansing Field Office met with the Michigan Natural Features Inventory to provide them with information on spill preparedness and response in general and lessons learned from recent spills in the Great Lakes region and to work with them on ideas for gathering additional baseline natural features data to use in spill planning. Her seminar was titled “Protecting Natural Resources from Oil Spills: Lessons Being Learned in Michigan," and was given to approximately 20 scientists, managers and staff of MNFI plus representatives from Michigan Department of Natural Resources and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality in Lansing, MI.
