Southern Indiana The Nature Conservancy Volunteer Meeting and Program Attended by Partners for Fish and Wildlife Biologist

Thirty people attended The Nature Conservancy's Southern Indiana annual Christmas Party and volunteer recognition program on December 13, 2012 held in Clark County Ind. U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Partners For Fish and Wildlife biologist Knowles gave a short presentation about the Partners for Fish and Wildlife program and emphasized opportunities that they have partnered with The Nature Conservancy for conservation.

Such opportunities include:

  • Tree plantings along the Blue river
  • Study projects on water quality in the Binkley cave system
  • The Muscatatuck Bottoms Healthy River initiative
  • The Nature Conservancy Chelsea Flatwoods mitigation

Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program brochures were available to attendees and plenty of good discussion was held promoting conservation and stewardship of the land. The Nature Conservancy recognized their wonderful volunteers during the program.
