Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge Volunteers Start "Nature Time" Preschool Programs
Midwest Region, December 13, 2012
Print Friendly Version

A Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge Volunteer Educator, who is also a pre-school teacher, started a monthly series of nature programs for pre-school youngsters in December at the refuge visitor center. Ten enthusiastic youngsters, plus parents and grandparents, learned about evergreen trees and birds with interactive activities that included drawings, songs, and a simple craft. A good time was had by all who attended, including the teacher, and all the youngsters carried home pine cone ornaments.

The pre-school programs will be held the second Wednesday morning of each month and will feature a different nature topic each time.
