The Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge photo contest continues to grow.

There were 65 entries from a pool of 43 participants this year. All photo entries were on display at the refuge headquarters on the Saturday of Open House Weekend, September 28-30, 2012.

Nearly 100 visitors cast their votes for their pick across four categories, including: Habitat, People, Wildlife and Young Nature Photographers.

The overall quality of the entries was particularly high this year, thus there were several ties. The refuge thanks all of the participants for making this event a success.
