Recruiting for the Future
Midwest Region, December 1, 2010

Columbia Fish and Wildlife Conservation office teamed up again with Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO to talk about biodiversity related to their course and career opportunities for the school’s environmental studies class.

Our office has a cooperative agreement with the university in an effort to increase diversity in the Service’s ranks. Every summer we have been fortunate to employ one of Lincoln’s students in the STEP program and have had some of our best prospects come from this school.

Wyatt Doyle teamed up with Missouri Department of Conservation’s (MDC) Chris McClealand to present the state and federal opportunities available while in school and after graduation.

These types of educational events are the result of proactive professors like Lincoln’s Dr. Adrian Andrei and long term partnerships set in place to ensure opportunities are available to everyone interested in conservation.
