Print Friendly Version

Project Leader Tracy Hill traveled to St Louis, Missouri on 19 June to attend the 2nd International Catfish Symposium. The symposium’s goal was to provide a forum for the exchange of information on the latest developments and knowledge advances in the biology, ecology, management, and conservation of worldwide catfish population and their habitats.

Dr. Hill was coauthor on a presentation titled, “Implications of river restoration for nursery habitat of blue and channel catfish”.  Scientists throughout the world provided new information which has been collected since 1998, when the first Catfish Symposium was held in Davenport, Iowa.  Approximately 300 individuals from state, federal, university and nongovernmental organizations participated in the symposium.
