Elsberry First Graders Visit Clarence Cannon National Wildlife Refuge

On Nov. 4, 2009, approximately 80 first grade students from the nearby town of Elsberry, Missouri, traveled to Clarence Cannon National Wildlife Refuge for a day of learning.  Throughout the day the students participated in a variety of games and activities including a scavenger hunt, tic-tac-toe, animal charades and more to enhance their knowledge of the Refuge, wildlife, and habitats.  At the end of the day each student was sworn in as a Junior Refuge Manager to help protect the resources.
