Southwest Region, January 30, 2009
Print Friendly Version

On January 30, 2009, Sean Edwards of the Arlington, Texas Field Office offered several presentations to approximately 300 children at Ridglea Elementary's annual Career Day in Fort Worth.  Also in attendance were various other professionals representing a variety of careers in industry and government.  The students were given an understanding of the Service's mission, the responsibilities of being a wildlife biologist, and the satisfaction that comes with working in the field of science to better our world.  The students were also persuaded to enjoy the benefits of spending time outdoors connecting with nature.  The presentations concluded with a question and answer session as numerous artifacts were passed around and discussed.
