In March 2008, several members of the Delta Juvenile Fish Monitoring Program participated in a “Delta Experience”, hosted by Don Rigio School (Lathrop, California).  The event took place at Dos Reis County Park and boat ramp.  Our participation included a hands-on demonstration of beach seining and gave children an opportunity to observe first hand some of the fish species living in their own backyard.  Biologists also presented information on the salmon life cycle and fish species of northern California and the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta.
