Columbia NFWCO Attends Genoa NFH 75th Anniversary
Midwest Region, April 8, 2007
Print Friendly Version

Columbia National Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office (NFWCO) employee Brian Elkington attended the 75th anniversary of operation for Genoa National Fish Hatchery (NFH).

It was a great event showcasing their past and present accomplishments and future goals.  Booths were staffed by the local refuge, organizations and friends groups to inform visitors about their own specific goals and projects.

Many employees from the Service came to celebrate alongside a strong local turnout.  Lunch was enjoyed while speeches were given by Doug Aloisi, Genoa NFH Manager and Midwest Region Director Robyn Thorson.

This was a very successful event put together by Genoa NFH.  I left that day having learned so much about not only Genoa NFH, but about many regional conservation issues.
