OSU/Okmulgee Intern Program
Southwest Region, May 31, 2007
Print Friendly Version

RM Darrin Unruh collaborated with staff from OSU/Okmulgee in placing two interns at the refuge.  Both intern positions will be filled with students within the Precision Agriculture Department, and will be primarily involved in GIS data collection and mapping.  The interns will work a total of 270 hours each beginning in May, and will continue through the month of June.  One main goal of the interns is to collect all data needed to build reliable refuge maps in ArcInfo.   The students will collect point data on roads, trails, wetlands, facilities, food plots, boundary designations, utility right-of-ways, and other features on the refuge.   OSU agreed to pay all salary costs associated with the internship program.
