Third Graders Get Lesson in Wetland Wildlife and Predators
Midwest Region, May 17, 2007
Print Friendly Version

Wildlife Refuge Specialist Corey Kudrna recently gave two interactive programs to third graders.

On April 20, Corey presented "Wetland Wildlife" interactive program to 15 students and two teachers from the Sacred Heart School, Falls City, Nebraska.

He used mammal skins and waterfowl mounts during this hands-on presentation.

On May 17, he used the same props to talk about predators and their habitats.

The 21 sutdents and nine teachers came from the Tarkio Elementary School.  The teacher, who will retire at the end of this school year, has brought her class to the refuge annually the past 35 years.
