Sevilleta NWR Approves 97 Research Projectsfor 2007

The Sevilleta NWR research special use permit review committee has approved forty three 2007 research special use permits for ninety-seven projects spanning disciplines from ecology to geology, hydrology to mammalogy, infectious diseases, and more.  The research projects represent the work of thirteen U.S. colleges and universities, one U.K. university, one Canadian university, five federal and state agencies, and various private entities. 

 

Five temporary/reconnaissance research permits and eight utility permits have also been issued to date for 2007.
