WICHITA MOUNTAINS HOSTS NATURAL RESOURCES JOURNEY

The Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge hosted a “Natural Resources Journey” at the Quanah Parker Environmental Education Center April 24 – 27, 2007.  This four-day event was a combined endeavor between the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, Natural Resource Conservation Service and Comanche County Conservation District.  Invitations were sent to all fourth grade students within Comanche County.  A total of 874 fourth-grade students participated in nine different activities during the four-day event.
