The Prairie Wetlands Learning Center celebrated its 8th Annual “Marsh Madness” event on April 31; a celebration of the returning waterfowl and the emergence of amphibians from the wetlands.

More than 200 people braved the spring downpours and winds to participate in a variety of activities. Puddles the Blue Goose greeted visitors, families made bluebird boxes, wetland discoveries, watched duck dog demonstrations, and enjoyed the work of local artists and collectors.

On display were collections of antique decoys, bird carvings, waterfowl art and taxidermy. A camouflage contest awarded prizes for families and kids who came decked out in camo from head to toe.
