Biannual Fall Workday a Success at Squaw Creek NWR

Squaw Creek NWR held its fall volunteer work day, September 16.  This is the 19th consecutive fall event that individuals have come to volunteer their time to improve the facilities at the refuge. 

A total of 18 volunteers attended the event contributing 95 hours.  Work projects included preparing the outdoor classroom, brush trimming, trail maintenance on the Loess Bluff trail, mowing and trimming the headquarters and other labor intensive projects.  A picnic lunch was provided to all workers.
