Oklahoma ES Staff Discusses Feasibility Of Exhibiting American Burying Beetles at Tulsa Zoo
Southwest Region, January 10, 2007
Print Friendly Version

The Tulsa Zoo is interested in exhibiting American Burying Beetles (ABBs), as well as, propagating them and conducting research.  Hayley Dikeman visited with Zoo staff that would oversee the ABB project.  Dikeman’s recommendation was that they visit the Cincinnati and/or Rhode Island Zoo’s ABB facility to familiarize themselves with the species and its husbandry requirements.  In preparation for this project, Tulsa Zoo will be applying for a section 10 permit.  They are eager to get ABBs as soon as possible.
