Sevilleta NWR hosts over ninety research projects during 2006

Sevilleta NWR issued forty five 2006 research special use permits for ninety-two projects spanning disciplines from ecology to geology, hydrology to mammalogy, and more.  The research projects represent the work of eleven U.S. colleges and universities, one U.K. university, five federal and state agencies, and various private entities. 

 

Nine temporary/reconnaissance research permits, seven utility permits, and six other permits for activities such as fuelwood cutting were also issued during 2007.
