Fish and Wildlife Service/Gila National Forest Meet to Discuss Endangered Species

Staff from the New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office met with the Gila National Forest management staff on April 19 to discuss issues of mutual concern.  The Gila Forest described their Fire Use Fire program and All Terrain Vehicle Area Use planning effort.  Both the Service and Forest discussed the status of endangered Chiricahua leopard frog and the threatened spikedace and opportunities for potential future conservation efforts.
