10 Region, February 26, 2006
Print Friendly Version

The Sierra Club brought its 5th annual service outing to the Sevilleta National Wildlife Refuge on February 26th through March 2nd, 2006. The Sevilleta trip is especially popular with Club members who do not usually visit a single location for more 3 consecutive years.

The full trip included 15 club members from around North America and 4 trip leaders. All together, the group contributed over 500 hours of volunteer service to the Refuge. They completed such projects as fence repair, sign installation, research site clean-up and clearing of vegetation surrounding water sources for wildlife.

A sixth trip is already being planned for 2007.
