BLM/FWS Coordination Meeting

The Gila District of the BLM and Arizona Ecological Services met in Benson, AZ, to discuss coordination between the two offices in order to meet public resource needs.  A variety of topics were discussed including: emergency fire suppression consultion, section 7 reinitiation on existing consultations, consultation for new projects, Bonita Creek fish barrier/Safford water management plan, and species updates.  Tasks and future meetings for subgroups were identified.  The general agreement was that the two offices coordinate well, and projects are completed in a timely manner.
