KENAI: New Visitor Guide available
Alaska Region, June 2, 2005
Print Friendly Version
June 2005 marks the arrival of a new "Reflections" Visitor Guide for Kenai National Wildlife Refuge. The 16 page color newspaper provides maps, photos, and a variety of information helpful to visitors to the popular refuge. Included is information on camping and cabins, hiking, wildlife viewing, traveling in bear country, fishing, canoeing, and the Skilak Wildlife Recreation Area. References to other useful information and contacts for other area attractions are also provided. The visitor guide is the product of a joint effort between Refuge staff and the Alaska Natural History Association. Ten thousand copies of the guide were printed which should provide a one to two year supply for Refuge visitors.
