2004 Pueblo of Taos Tribal Wildlife Grant Agreement Approved

Through the efforts of the Division of Federal Assistance and External Affairs, the 2004 Pueblo of Taos Tribal Wildlife Grant Agreement titled "Developing Management Capabilities and Baseline Assessments for the Pueblo of Taos" was approved on February 24, 2005. This grant for the amount of $249,941 will allow the Pueblo to achieve the following: 1)establish a trained fish and wildlife management staff, 2) develop a strategic management plan with tribal objectives for fish and wildlife resources, 3) develop management techniques to achieve the objectives, and 4) develop a baseline assessment of fish and wildlife resources and monitor wildlife populations.
