2004 Leadership Development Program Graduation

On January 20, Lisa Rodriguez, Contracting Officer, Division of Contracting and General Services along with four other federal employees from other agencies graduated from the Albuquerque-Santa Fe Federal Executive Board 2004 Leadership Development Program. Rey Aragon, Lisa's supervisor also attended the graduation. This one-year long program provided classroom training, mentoring, shadowing, and project planning opportunities. Through the Leadership Development program, Lisa had the opportunity to Chair the 2004 Administrative Professionals Conference in April 2004 in Albuquerque, in which over 250 Federal employees representing nine Federal Agencies attended. Lisa also had the opportunity to shadow the Mayor of Albuquerque which offered her an opportunity to observe the Mayor's style, identify necessary skills to become a successful leader, and discuss with the Mayor the various duties and responsibilities of his position.
