Arizona Ecological Services Participates in Native American Career Fair

Office assistant Cathy Gordon and a volunteer represented the Fish and Wildlife Service at the annual Gila River Indian Community Career Fair in Sacaton, Arizona. Eight hundred students and adults from the Pima and Maricopa Tribes attended. Service staff provided information and a display on careers in all of the Service's programs and used the opportunity to present interpretive information on a species that ocurs locally, the desert tortoise, using a live Sonoran desert tortoise for interest .
