Rehabilitation of the San Miguel and Los Gonzales Diversion Dams

On November 1, 2004, the New Mexico Ecological Services Field Office Federal Activities Branch provided the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Albuquerque District with a final Fish and Wildlife Coordination Act Report for the rehabilitation of the San Miguel and Los Gonzales Diversion Dams. The purpose of the report was to identify impacts associated with the reconstruction of the San Miguel and Los Gonzales Diversion Dams and to provide recommendations to avoid and minimize impacts to fish and wildlife resources. The report included recommendations to ensure fish passage at the new structures as well as design recommendations for future diversion dam rehabilitation projects.
