ANCHORAGE: FWS Alaska Pilots Complete Two Consecutive Accident Free Years
10 Region, September 30, 2004
Print Friendly Version
U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service(FWS) pilots in Alaska recently completed two consecutive accident free flying years. In Fiscal Year 2004, FWS Alaska's 36 pilots flew 7,423 hours with no pilot error aircraft accidents. These flights were in support of Migratory Bird, Law Enforcement and National Wildlife Refuge missions throughout Alaska. This accident free record is remarkable due to the often difficult flying environment of Alaska.
