Refuge Staff were alerted to the presence of the exotic blue mustard (Chorispora tenella) by the Inventory and Monitoring team during their spring survey on the refuge. The plant occupies area adjacent to streams and dry stream beds. The inventory and monitoring team provided GPS coordinates for the start location and the location downstream in Leslie Creek that they found the last plant. Refuge staff went to the site and pulled, bagged, and removed from the refuge approximately 140 plants. The location will have to be inspected annually for at least the next few years to remove any additional plants that come in.
